Industry News ASIA PACIFIC GOLF GROUP GARNERS TOP AWARD IN AMERICA The Asia Pacific Golf Group was granted industry-wide recognition today when its chief executive officer Mike Sebastian was presented with the 2013 International Leadership Of The Year Award during a special award ceremony at the 2014 Club Managers of Association of America’s World Conference currently in progress in Orlando, Fl. The award was presented to Sebastian by The BoardRoom Magazine. The BoardRoom magazine, is endorsed by the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA), the Club Managers Association of Europe (CMAE) and is the official publication for the Association of Private Club Directors (APCD) and the Distinguished Club of the World. Sebastian who is in Orlando for the CMAA World Conference described the award as a major win and recognition for the golf industry in Asia. “This is universal recognition for what Asia is doing to help grow the game of golf and I am proud to receive this recognition on behalf of everyone in the golf industry in Asia. Sebastian is the publisher of Asian Golf Monthly, Asian Golf Business and also the owner and producer of the highly rated Asia Pacific Golf Summit. In presenting the award to Sebastian, John Fornaro, publisher of BoardRoom Magazine said, “Each CLUBLINKS SECURES MANAGEMENT RIGHTS AT TWO VICTORIAN COURSES ClubLINKS secures management rights at Glen Waverley and Oakleigh golf courses. Glen Waverley and Oakleigh Golf Courses will soon be managed by ClubLINKS Golf Management Pty Ltd, after Councillors adopted a recommendation from its Executive to engage ClubLINKS for two years. ClubLINKS’ Chief Executive Officer, Mark Brayshaw, was pleased to win the Tender and continue his company’s expansion into the Municipal golf sector. “ClubLINKS Golf Management is thrilled to have won a very competitive Tender to manage the Glen Waverley and Oakleigh Golf Courses for the City of Monash.” “We look forward to working with the team at the City and applying our experience in Municipal golf learned at Moore Park Golf (Sydney) and Wembley Golf Complex (Perth). This new Contract represents an important growth area for ClubLINKS Golf Management. We believe we have unique strengths to offer Councils across Australia as they manage their golf courses.” ClubLINKS will commence its management of Glen Waverley and Oakleigh Golf Courses on 1st April 2014, for a 24 month period. Glen Waverley and Oakleigh Golf Courses join ClubLINKS’ stable of existing golf clients, including Bingara Gorge and Moore Park Golf (NSW), Sanctuary Lakes Golf Club and Sandhurst Club (VIC) and Wembley Golf Complex (WA).
