Glenview Jr . Golf Academy

The Glenview Junior Golf Academy is a unique , fun and exciting program designed to promote growth and development for junior golfers . The five-level progressive teaching program provides professional instruction through each stage of development .
Juniors attend four 50-minute group lessons per month based on the flexible academy schedule ( schedule available online at glenviewparks . org ).
Classes include fun learning activities , golf fitness games and contests . Students new to the program will start at Level 1 ; at the end of every month , each junior golfer will be evaluated on whether or not they are ready to progress to the next level . This allows all junior golfers to learn the game of golf comfortably at his / her own pace . Max / Min : 8 / 4

ACADEMY CURRICULUM
Level 1 Pre-Swing / Swing Fundamentals
Grip , stance , alignment , posture and ball position
Level 2 Putting
Proper set-up and swing fundamentals , distance control for lag putting
Level 4 Advanced Full Swing Fundamentals
Should turn , hip turn and weight transfer
Level 5 Bunker Play
Set-up and swing fundamentals for greenside and fairway bunkers
Level 3 Chipping and Pitching
Learn proper techniques and club selection for chipping from around the green and pitching from further out
LEARN TO COMPETE JR . LEAGUE ( AGES 9-14 YEARS ) Geared towards the experienced junior golfer looking to transition into tournament golf . This league gives your child the opportunity to play 9 holes of golf each week with an instructor in each foursome emphasizing course etiquette , rules , score keeping , pace of play , and course strategies throughout the round . Juniors attending this program must have their own equipment , and have least 2 years of experience or have completed all 5 Levels of the Glenview Junior Golf Academy . Teacher-to-student ratio is 1:4 .
