ΠΟΡΤΑΡΑ PORTARA
Καθώς το πλοίο πλησιάζει στη Νάξο,
μια τεράστια πύλη κάνει την εμφάνισή
της στον ορίζοντα αφήνοντας έκθαμβο
κάθε ταξιδιώτη. Είναι η Πορτάρα. Το
μεγαλειώδες πρόπυλο του ημιτελούς
ναού του Απόλλωνα του 6ου π.Χ.
αιώνα στη χερσόνησο Παλάτια είναι το
αξιώτικο ορόσημο και ένα από τα πιο
πολυφωτογραφημένα «σύμβολα» του
Αιγαίου. Σύμφωνα με τον μύθο, σε αυτό
το σημείο έγινε η αρπαγή της Αριάδνης
από τον Διόνυσο και εδώ εικάζεται πως
τελέστηκαν τα πρώτα «Διονύσια». Για
να βρεθείς μπροστά στην εμβληματική
πύλη και να θαυμάσεις ένα από τα πιο
γοητευτικά ηλιοβασιλέματα με φόντο το
θεόρατο οικοδόμημα, θα ακολουθήσεις
το μονοπάτι που συνδέει τα Παλάτια με
