Το εντυπωσιακό τοπίο της Σαντορίνης
είναι μοναδικό σε ολόκληρο τον
πλανήτη. Πρόκειται για ένα από τα
διασημότερα νησιά του Αιγαίου, με
εύρος πολυτελών παροχών και
υπηρεσιών, άγριας ομορφιάς
ηφαιστειακές παραλίες, πλούσιους
αμπελώνες και πανέμορφους
υπόσκαφους οικισμούς.
Η Σαντορίνη βρίσκεται νότια της Ίου και
δυτικά της Ανάφης. Απέχει 128 ναυτικά
μίλια από τον Πειραιά και 63 ναυτικά
μίλια από την Κρήτη. Πρωτεύουσα της
Σαντορίνης είναι τα Φηρά και κεντρικό
λιμάνι της ο Αθηνιός.
Το νησί γεννήθηκε από την έκρηξη του
ηφαιστείου που βύθισε το μεγαλύτερο
μέρος της αρχαίας Στρογγύλης. Τότε
σχηματίστηκε η περίφημη Καλντέρα με
διάμετρο 10 χλμ., ενώ αργότερα από την
έντονη ηφαιστειακή δραστηριότητα δη-
μιουργήθηκαν το Ασπρονήσι, η Θηρασιά,
η Παλαιά και η Νέα Καμένη.
The spectacular scenery of Santorini is unique
across the globe. It is one of the most famous
islands in the Aegean, offering a range of
luxurious amenities and services, wild beauty,
volcanic beaches, rich vineyards and beautiful
underground settlements.
Santorini is located south of Ios and west of
Anafi, at a distance of 128 nautical miles from
Piraeus and 63 nautical miles from Crete.
The capital of Santorini is Fira and its main
harbor is Athinios.
The island was born from the eruption of
the volcano that caused most of the ancient
island, Stroggili, to sink. At that time the
famous Caldera with a diameter of over 6
miles was formed, and later the islands of
Aspronisi, Thirassia, Palaia and Nea Kameni
due to the continuous volcanic activity.
