GOLDEN ISLES PLANNING Food + Drink
Beach
House
A newcomer on the Jekyll Island dining
scene, Beach House lives up to its name.
The bright, modern oceanfront restau-
rant excels in offering a taste of coastal
flavor in a laid-back, upbeat atmosphere.
The beachy vibe extends to the
innovative, locally inspired menu of
burgers, sandwiches, salads, and artisan
pizzas. The real draw is what’s on tap —
an eclectic selection of more than two
dozen craft beers, including regional
brews, available by the pint or growler.
Indoor and outdoor seating with
oceanfront views and a kid’s menu offer
something for everyone. You can find the
Beach House next door to Holiday Inn
Resort. jibeachhouse.com 912.319.0033
Richland Rum
Did you know that ‘America’s Best Rum’ is made right
here in Georgia? Richland Rum has been crafting
authentic, single-estate, barrel aged Rum since 1999
and has perfected the spirit that Forbes Magazine calls
‘America’s Best Rum.’ Founder Erik Vonk crafts
Richland Rum one barrel at the time, using sugar
cane harvested on his Georgia estate in Richland,
a rarity among American-made rums. The result is
an aromatic, elegant sipping rum that delights rum
connoisseurs and makes converts of whiskey drinkers.
A visit to the distillery in downtown Brunswick is
a must. Admire the open spaces in the beautifully
renovated building, the gleaming copper pot stills,
and tour the distillery guided by The Master Distiller
and his team. Sample several rum expressions and
buy a bottle or two, for you, too, will find yourself a
convert to the Spirit of Georgia © .
