us to be filled with them! They 'happen' as Christ indwells us and they are by His operation alone for His purpose alone – to the praise and glory of God, that God may be glorified in all things through Jesus Christ (in us!). 1 Pet 4:11 Gal 5:1, 24 calls on us to stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free – that is, abide in Him Who is our Salvation – having crucified the flesh with its affections and lusts. Desire the Fruits by all means, but let Jesus produce them in you as you abide in close intimacy in Him. He said so in Jn 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing. Q I don't believe in Divine Design but do marvel at the wonders of Nature which makes me believe in Evolution. Why shouldn't I? A The kakapo parrot of New Zealand could not have been created through Evolution! God's creative variety and genius is unlimited. One of His more unusual creatures was thought extinct until rediscovered in 1958. This most unusual parrot is one of only a few known parrots that prefers to sleep during the day and becomes active at night. At 2.5kg it is also the world's heaviest parrot and, not surprisingly, the world's only non-flying parrot. The mating habits of the kakapo are especially peculiar for birds. In mating season, the males gather in locations used year after year. Female parrots come to these places to inspect and select a mate. In most un-bird-like fashion, the males provide absolutely no help building the nest or rearing the young. The kakapo's many strange traits make it least fit for survival and seem to put it at a disadvantage as far as Evolution is concerned. So while Evolution would not have made the kakapo, our inventive Creator did, perhaps as a witness against Evolution. Why not get to know, love and worship Him, rather than His Creation. He invites you to come into a loving relationship with Him; you'll be so glad you did!
