Outreach. Across from the
Doveton's home lives a
dear old lady who turned
101 the next day, and our
ladies thought it a
wonderful opportunity for
an Outreach. So they got
busy inviting people up and
down the street to join in
celebrating Thurle Perkins'
st
101 ! And they came!
Incidentally,
Sis Molly Attlee turned 83
on the same day! So we
made it a double
'celebration'. The purpose
behind it all was to present
Jesus to the goodly
gathering of neighbours
that crowded into the
Doveton's sun room; the
squeeze added to the atmosphere and everyone was in good spirits.
Kind words and blessings rained upon our two Guests of
Honour, whose beaming smiles evidenced their joy!
My husband, Gerald, had been invited as the 'guest
speaker' and, when the moment came, he delivered a short, punchy
Gospel message that challenged all. We believe good seed was sown and
expect a good harvest in due course.
Praise the Lord for the opportunity to magnify His Name!
