“ He can hang out with us if he wants to ,” Bianca said . “ Peanut would protect him too .”
“ Yes , he can , but it ’ s up to him . We can ’ t tell him how to choose his friends ,” Daniel said with a nod . “ Mark will leave us alone , at least for the summer ,” he continued , feeling relieved . “ Let ’ s go . I ’ m hot , and I can hardly wait to get into the cool water .”
When they got to the river , Bianca and Daniel put their towels on the sandy shore and jumped into the clear water .
