Qatar, which boasts one of the fastest-growing economies
and highest per capita incomes in the world, can teach
Cyprus a great deal. The main lesson, according to Abdul
Rahman al Attiya, Chargé d’Affaires of Qatar in Cyprus,
concerns the liquefaction of natural gas but there are
good prospects for collaboration between Qatari and
Cypriot businesses in the tourism, education, real estate
and agricultural sectors.
