Petr Zemcik

P

etr Zemcik is Director of Economic
Research at the London office of
Moody’s Analytics. He is responsible for analysis, modellng, and forecasting for Europe. Dr. Zemcik also supervises real-time coverage of Europe for the
Dismal Scientist website. He previously
worked at CERGE-EI, a joint workplace
of the Center for Economic Research and
Graduate Education of Charles University
in Prague and the Economics Institute of
the Academy of Sciences of the Czech
Republic, and at the Southern Illinois University. He has published numerous articles
on econometric methodology and on real
estate bubbles in the United States and
in Europe in peer-reviewed professional
journals. He holds a Ph.D and an M.A. in
Economics from the University of Pittsburgh and an M.Sc. in Econometrics and
Operations Research from the University of
Economics in Prague.
