Rakis Christoforou was the first Qualified Accountant (CPA) in Cyprus and Greece to obtain the Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) and Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV). Previously he had earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA) from Baruch College in New York in 1988 and soon afterwards passed the Certified Public Accountancy (CPA) Examination.  He worked for a number of years as an Auditor for Touche Ross and Deloitte & Touche before joining the banking Industry in 1992. In July 2013 he resigned from the Bank of Cyprus and formed his own company, RC Business Valuation & Forensic Accounting Ltd, the first company in Cyprus specializing in the areas of Financial Forensics, Business Valuation and Business/Debt Restructuring. He is Vice Chairman of the committee of Economic Crime and Forensic Accounting (ECFA) of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC), member of The ICPAC, The AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants), The CGMA (Chartered Global Management Accountants) and The ACFE (Association of Certified Fraud Examiners) and the UK Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI).  Rakis Christoforou the international investment, finance & professional services magazine of cyprus Gold 73
