In a world where everything is so media dominated, our perceptions of ourselves can be pretty, well daunting. With magazines, after magazines, filled with the ‘perfect’ body images for men and women, adverts manipulating us to purchase products to enhance our beauty, and even people telling us what is beautiful, we can become pretty self-conscious.
But what is perfect?
In honest terms, there is no such thing as perfection as cliche as that may sound. It’s saddening that so many people try and better themselves not for self-satisfaction, but purely to become the media’s idea of beautiful. But who are the media to judge us for who we are? What we wear? What we weigh? What we look like? The only thing that matters is what YOU feel like. If YOU are happy with the way you are, then that is the only person that matters. Don’t let anyone ever tell you that you’re not good enough, or not beautiful enough, because you really are.
Now I understand how daunting it can be when you're faced with so many media outlets screaming what is beautiful and what isn’t. But in times like this, we all need to stick together. And that’s why this month, I have compiled some helpful little tips to help you guys stay positive about your body image!
