The outcome of this most recent election left me feeling defeated and hopeless . I felt alone . It took a deep breath , checking my privilege and joining a movement to make me realize that was not the case . It is okay to get down and to feel scared , but this evil we face is not a necessary evil . We mustn ’ t allow it to divide and conquer . We must stand strong . We must stand united . The Women ’ s March taught me this in ways I will never forget , in ways that moved me to tears , in ways that empowered me .
