To my fellow congress delegates,
I firstly would like to congratulate you all for making
the exceptional decision to attend this years NAPSA
congress. On behalf of the National Council I’d also like
to take this opportunity to welcome you all to what
many describe as their highlight each year! For those
of you attending for the first time, lean forward, strap
in because this will definitely be a week to remember!
Over the years NAPSA have come a long way to ensure
we provide students with a world-class education
program, workshops and trade show each year. This
year is no exception with Cassie and the Congress
Organising committee working tirelessly over the past
12-18 months to ensure we have some of most
influential leaders and educators in our industry to
present to us, the future of the profession. Please take the time throughout the week
to thank them as volunteers who have devoted a large portion of their time to
providing us all with an awesome experience.
Not many go away from the week without lasting memories, new friends, and exciting
motivation and skills to further their career within pharmacy. I encourage you all to
mix and meet as many other students as possible from all branches around Australia.
You may gain some valuable leadership knowledge to take back to your own
universities or make some long lasting friends. Regardless, you can never
underestimate how beneficial
it is to network amongst your
peers. Odds are you will be
working directly with a lot of
people you meet this week
throughout your career.
I hope you all have a
wonderful week here in
sunny Queensland. I look
forward to meeting as many
of you as possible over the
next seven days and sharing
in that NAPSA love!
