In 2016, the company reached a restructuring agreement including a standstill period to finally close the restructuring on September 2016. The legal department had to protect the assets of the company in the US, Brazil, Peru and Chile. In Mexico and the Netherlands, the legal department handled insolvency procedures filed by certain creditors to protect the viability of the companies as well as the interest of the stakeholders.
