Going Google to extend learning beyond the classroom

Students Google accounts can be personalised to suit their individual learning needs. The teacher can select the apps available on student accounts. For example, the teacher can install literacy apps for a pupil who may be struggling with reading, or maths apps to assist mathematical development.

Importantly, for safety and security purposes, student accounts are created by the school, and are teacher-administrated.

Both teachers and pupils can incorporate other Web 2.0 technologies into their Google accounts to enhance learning experiences further, therefore they are not limited to Google Apps. Students are engaging with the read-write web, developing digital literacy, digital wisdom and netiquette.
