Toolkit for Schools
The SWGfL Template E-Safety Policies have been adopted by local authorities, schools and academies across the UK, and are acknowledged as good practice documents (SWGfL).
Schools who are considering using Google for Education need to obtain permission from parents and carers for their children to have Google accounts. In particular, this "requires a school to obtain ‘verifiable parental consent’ for their children to be able to use these services. It is suggested that schools will incorporate this into their standard acceptable use consent forms sent to parents each year." (SWGfL, 2014)
The e-safety self review tool for schools is a resource provided by the SWGfL.
