There’ s a lot happening in Godley, and the city is excited to share some great updates with you.
The Godley city staff has been growing right along with the community. There are now nine full-time firefighters on duty, a fully staffed Godley Police Department, and full teams in the Parks, Streets, Water and Wastewater departments— all working hard to keep Godley running smoothly.
Godley City Hall is also fully staffed and ready to help. Staff is under the direction of City Administrator Angela Winkle who brings almost 40 years in municipal government and nine of those as city administrator. Winkle is a Certified Municipal Clerk and Certified Public Manager. From City Secretary Brittany Gross and Permits Technician Michelle Clore to Utility Billing / Administrative Assistant / Special Events Coordinator Chastidy Gloria and Municipal Court Administrator Amber Trammell, they’ re all there to make things easier for Godley residents and businesses.
The city is especially proud to introduce the new park at Hadley Farms. It features a splash pad, basketball court, walking path and playground— the perfect spot for families to get outside and enjoy the day.
Throughout 2024, the Godley City Council approved six special events, including a Founder’ s Day Celebration and street dance on May 30, 2026, to celebrate 143 years of the city of Godley. Most of the community events are held at Godley City Park, which also has a pavilion available for rent— and there’ s a special resident rate for Godley residents.
The city is also really excited about the new city website at godleytx. gov. You can now check meeting agendas, watch live streamed Godley City Council meetings, and sign up for the city’ s new Alert Notification System to get important updates straight to your inbox or phone.
Godley City Council meets at 6:30 p. m. every first and third Tuesday of the month at Godley City Hall, 200 W. Railroad St.
Godley is growing, and so is the city’ s commitment to keeping you informed, connected and proud to call Godley home.
