God Is In The TV - Reading & Leeds Festival Special 2013 August 2013 | Page 4
so, i’m assuming you are looking
forward To reading & leeds?
Bury tomorroW’s dani
tells us Which Bands he is
hoPing to catch, What his
dream line uP Would Be, and
What the future holds for
Bury tomorroW.
wHaT does iT mean To you
To be playing THe reading
& leeds fesTival?
It’s one of the biggest
opportunities our band has and
probably will ever have, its an
absolute honour to be asked.
wHicH oTHer bands are
you looking forward To
seeing and wHy?
Obviously playing both Reading
and Leeds means we are quite
limited to the day on which we
play but I am excited to see
Biffy Clyro on our stage, I am
probably going to try and see as
many genres of bands as I can
...so a bit of Chase and Status
and of course Nine inch Nails.
wHaT’s your fanTasy
fesTival line up?
Probably Slipknot, as they are
one of the best live bands in the
world, Nirvana as I never had
the chance to see them live, Jimi
Hendrix for the same really and
well ...us :) because it would be
rad to play with the greats.
wHaT can we eXpecT
from your seT and How
would you describe your
live sHow?
We are a band that likes to
engage the audience as much
as we physically can so lots of
crowd participation, a whole load
of energy and some humour
as we don’t take ourselves to
seriously. We just want everyone
at every show thinking they have
got their monies worth.
any Tips for fesTival
goers (eg THings To
bring/THings THey
sHould do/besT fesTival
frame of mind!)
The biggest tent you can afford,
even if their is only two of you a 7
birth tent would be awesome, and
wellies as we live in England and
its pretty much always muddy at
Leeds haha. In regards to frame
of mind, just keep it open maybe
go and watch a couple of bands
that are in genres you are not to
familiar with could really open up
a musical taste you didn’t know
you had.
wHaT’s neXT for you afTer
THe fesTival season and
inTo neXT year
We are heading out on a UK
headline tour at the end of
September into October hitting
most major cities in the UK
and ending in London, then
recording our 3rd full length
album with the view to release
at the start of next year, then
touring, touring, touring.
Totally man! It’s our first time. We’re
Reading & Leeds virgins. Josh has
been before but I have no clue what to
expect besides lots of bands
wHaT are your Top 3 fesTival
survival Tips?
So far I’ve only learned to wear boots
because there is mud, get drunk so you
don’t mind the mud, and save some
time to see other bands, which has
been tough to do so far.
THings you sHould noT
forgeT, and is THere anyTHing
you definiTely sHould/ or
sHouldn’T do?
Don’t be the naked guy! Man, you
always see that guy and think he is
gonna regret that. Also try not to fight
people, come one.
wHo are your Top Tips on ‘one’s
To waTcH’?
I’m really enjoying watching the
rise of Wolf Alice, Swim Deep, and
Palma Violets.
wHaT can we eXpecT from
your seT and How would you
describe your live sHow?
Energetic and inconsistent in the best
way possible. We really try to bring it
every show, sometimes we conquer and
sometime stuff explodes, you never know.
wHaT’s on your fesTival rider?
A bottle of tequila, crisps, 1 case of
Budweiser Bottles, and hummus
wHaT’s neXT for you afTer
