Of course, such iconic UK
festivals. Always an eclectic
lineup and bangin’ atmosphere.
I’m salivating at the very thought.
wHaT are your Top 3
Tips on How To survive
a fesTival?
Tip 1 - you must lather your
undercarriage with lashings of
sudocream to stave away the
most unpleasant of complaints
that I call ‘fesi-gooch’ with all
that walking around things can
get pretty chafed down there.
Tip 2 - get up early to use the
bogs, they will be cleaner then,
it’s never nice taking a shit on top
of several other people’s shit.
Tip 3 - Don’t stop drinking or
you’ll get a hangover and ruin it
for yourself.
so aparT from sudocream, are THere any
oTHer THings you sHould
noT forgeT To bring?
Don’t forget to bring a tent,
this may sound obvious but I
once made this mistake and
had to sleep on a grass verge
for 3 nights on my first Reading
festival experience.
wHaT’s THe besT
Hangover cure?
Carry on drinking. You can endure
your hangover on Monday in the
comfort of your own home.
did you used To go To
THe fesTival yourself
as a punTer?
Too right I did, Reading was my
go to festival each year. The
first time I went was in 1998.
Me and Moose from Bullet For
My Valentine turned up with no
tickets and no tent. I was in awe
of how huge an event it was.
We both swore that we’d one
day play here in our own bands.
Pretty nuts that it’s come true!
first few songs with no monitors,
sloshing around in an inch of
water and finally the electronics
give up the ghost and we had
no power to the stage. A quick
rendition of Queen’s We Will
Rock You came to save the day
and the sun came out and all
was happy ever after.
wHicH bands do you
remember waTcHing?
and wHaT’s THe
besT memory?
Very few. I’m afraid it was mainly
spent in a drunken haze
wHaT’s THe weirdesT
memory you Have of
reading & leeds fesT?
Printed like a scar upon my
memory is the moment it
proceeded to piss it down just as
we walked on main stage back in
2009. We struggled through the
I think just looking out of the main
stage in front of all those people,
it’s a very surreal experience.
wHo would be your
dream Headliner for
neXT year?
Us because we would get paid an
extortionate amount of money
and I could go and gamble it all
on a horse. Oh the thrill!
