One of the most popular lakes in Alberta, Wabamun
lies about 65 km west of Edmonton on the
Yellowhead Highway.
Summer: Set out on a power boat, sailboat, or canoe

Edmonton on Highway 2, and 23 km west
on Highway 13.
Summer: At Ma-Me-Mo Beach, enjoy
plentiful white sand and shallow waters that are
especially appropriate for children. Other spots,
such as Mulhurst Bay, have boat launches, and
the surrounding area also includes a playground,
volleyball court, and great restaurants.
Winter: Enter the annual ice golf tournament
and enjoy this otherwise summery sport on the
frozen lake. The area also has several groomed
cross-country ski trails, and snowmobile access is
available to the lake only.
