es vents T he University of Hull Go Connect Network sees every student as international. Through engagement and participation in the Going Global Network students will emerge with a Global Perspective that will develop their ability to operate effectively across cultures and increase their employability prospects through a rich enhancement of the Student Experience. Go Connect will provide students to have a global experience whilst studying at the University of Hull, to enjoy their time here and become a part of a larger Global Community. Go Connect will not only provide unique cultural exchange & integration events across campus but provide students with a portfolio of Global focused initiatives that are currently active in other areas of the institution which are accessible for them to participate. Through a combined, holistic approach Go Connect will bring together service areas of the institution and departments to create a Global Community on site which encourages Global Learning and a Global outlook. Every year we provide unique and exciting opportunities for students to Go Global. By hosting a variety of different cultural events that celebrate international festivals, showcase national traditions and enable students to learn about other cultures we create a fun and interact environment for students to make friends and learn on a global level. Our events focus around enabling all students to be more culturally aware of other students and see the benefits of not only making new friends but being able to explore new ways of learning. Through interaction between international students we believe that individuals are able to approach a challenge or task with a different perspective, due to learning how other international students engage with a given stimuli. As every culture has different ways of learning there are many different levels of participation and interaction which may appear strange or different to other people. By taking part in our events, whether that’s on a social part or educational, we are able to highlight to you the cultural variations of learning and enable students to become more Global.
