Located almost 1000 feet above sea level on the gorgeous west coast of Barbados , this pristinely , manicured course offers breathtaking views and exciting games among beautifully sculpted sand pits . Each hole of this par-72 , 7150 yd . course offers golfers the opportunity to display a wide range of skills .
After closure for reconstruction , this golf course was reopened in 2000 , with an environmentally sensitive design by Ron Kirby , one of the most respected golf course architects in the world . The course has become quite popular with locals and tourists alike offering a fair and challenging game for golfers of all levels .
ROYAL WESTMORELAND GOLF COURSE
The exclusive Sandy Lane green offers not one but three spectacular courses for golfers of all skill levels . The first is The Green Monkey , a par 72 , 7343 yd . course . The second , the Country Club , a golfer ' s paradise with lush greens , lakes and immaculately cut fairways and the third is the Old 9 , originally constructed in 1961 and a longtime fan favourite .
BARBADOS GOLF CLUB
Ranked number 31 in the world outside of the USA , this course sits at the center of the exclusive Royal Westmoreland estate . The Par 72 , 7045 yd . championship course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr renowned architect , is sure to be a day well spent .

With five expansive golf clubs across the island , some of which house multiple courses , golf lovers in Barbados can gladly join a club and practice their drive .
