Generation Next FC’s Miltom Byfield has fulfilled his lifelong dream of coaching for a professional football team. Nesta, as he is affectionately known as, has recently secured a
coaching position at the New York Red Bulls in their Youth Development Program. Nesta
has been with Generation Next FC from its “kick off” in September 2012 and has been the
Head Coach of the club’s Under 10 team until his departure in May to the United States of
America. While at GNFC, Nesta had the opportunity of working along International Professional Clubs’ coaches from Tottenham Hotspur, Bolton Wanderers, Stoke City and Bristol
Rovers in the United Kingdom, and the New York Red Bulls in the USA, where he gained
invaluable knowledge on the latest techniques and tactics in youth development for Football/soccer.
Prior to joining, and even during his tenure with GNFC, Nesta coached the youth in his
community for little or no financial rewards. His dedication to the uplifting the young footballers in Grays Farm area of Antigua is second to none. He was greatly respected and admired by not only the youth but by the parents of those whom he coached.
We at Generation Next FC are filled with pride as Nesta enters into the next phase of his
career, and wish him all the best, knowing he will reach even higher heights. He is surely
missed by ALL at GNFC, and he is, and will always be a permanent member of our club.
