West Little Llagas Creek trail
The Butterfield Linear Park is a paved trail along Butterfield Boulevard that currently runs the short distance between East Main Avenue and San Pedro Avenue . An extension to Railroad Avenue is in the works and scheduled for completion by the end of summer .

The Madrone Channel Trail is an unpaved trail adjacent to Highway 101 on the East side of the water channel . The City of Morgan Hill and Valley Water have partnered to make the trail accessible to the community . It runs from Cochrane Avenue to Tennant Avenue , approximately 2.9 miles . Just recently , over a mile of multi-use pavement has been added to Madrone Channel Trail between Main Avenue and Cochrane Road . Pavement of the trail ’ s remainder is in the planning phase .
Also in coordination with Valley Water ’ s upcoming flood control project , Morgan Hill has approved and funded the extension of the West Little Llagas Creek Trail . Currently it is a paved Class 1 bike and pedestrian trail that runs from Spring Avenue at the north end , past the Centennial Recreation Center , and through the Paradise Park area to Watsonville Road . Another mile is under construction south past Watsonville Road , ending just before Silveira Lake . The project will also include enhanced pedestrian crossing systems at roadways along the trail . The project is scheduled to start at the end of summer .
Keeping it cool indoors at the newly expanded Centennial Recreation Center ( CRC )
If outdoor options aren ’ t your first choice , Morgan Hill ’ s got you covered with a great indoor alternative . The CRC recently expanded , adding 3,640 square feet dedicated to a large group exercise studio with high ceilings , large windows , a new sound system and additional parking . The new space frees up the existing gymnasium for even more basketball , pickleball , volleyball or badminton .
