Christopher Ranch and Garlic Festival Volunteers combine to promote “ Summer of Garlic ”: In true Festival style , Christopher Ranch , with volunteers from the Gilroy Garlic Festival and local non-profits teamed up to provide lunch and swag for graduating Seniors at Christopher High School . As part of Christopher Ranch ’ s “ Summer of Garlic ”, Ranch Executive Vice President Ken Christopher authored and created “ Elephant Garlic ” an illustrated childrens book , and perfromed a reading for 2,000 attendees at Gilroy Gardens on the July 4th weekend . More readings are scheduled and the book is being made available for free to local children while supplies last .
