Congratulations to organizers , vounteers , and participants of the 2022 Giroy Rodeo . This year the event schedule featured two full weeks of activities and entertainment . The main rodeo events took place August 12-14 at the Gilroy Rodeo Grounds on Dunlap Ave . Visitors enjoyed rodeo action , great food , shopping , music and dancing . The event was sold out on Saturday . At the Directors Dinner on August 31 , Rodeo President Eric Martin presented local nonprofits with over $ 30,000 for their volunteer efforts , and presented an addtional $ 11,644.40 to Jacobs Heart Cancer Support Services through the Rodeo ' s Kickin ' Cancer fundraiser . Well done Gilroy Rodeo !
