It ' s hard to believe but 2022 is almost over ! It seems like just yesterday we

were ushering in the new year , and now , Fall is in the air : It ' s time for high school football games , pumpkins , changing seasons , and just around the corner , the holidays .
This is the time of year when things seem to fly by . In a few weeks , ghouls and goblins , superheroes , and all sorts of creative looking costumes will be traversing our neighborhoods , in search of “ treats .” Give them what they ’ re looking for , or they may just play a trick on you !
Once the night of fright and fun is over , just blink , and it ' s Thanksgiving . As you travel out or host in , we wish for you and all your loves a great and Happy Thanksgiving ! Visit us online @ gmhtoday and share your favorite Thanksgiving recipes , traditions , and memories .
With Thanksgiving over , we ’ re just a few deep breaths away from Hanukkah and Christmas . Again , more people will travel or host travelers . We will eat too much food , lounge around and play games . The best part is we will catch up with friends and family , catch up as we celebrate the season . I am not kidding when I say that I think this may be the fastest year ever . I mean , wasn ' t it the 4th of July just last week ? We wish you a merry Christmas , a happy Hanukkah , and a happy 2023 ! May all your dreams come true , may your holidays be cozy , and may you share great times and memories with your loved ones .
In addition to the holidays , we also have the midterm elections . ( Ooh , he went there !) As one community member to another , I urge you to do some research on all the candidates , and vote for those who model good character and good judgment , with history and evidence to back it up . Let ’ s think twice before we vote for more rhetoric , or anyone who isn ’ t qualified , or willing to have a responsible conversation and an open mind about the issues . And let ’ s stop shouting and beating each other up because we happen to disagree on a few things . After all , we agree on more than we disagree . I believe that standing in the middle of the road on most issues is a much more courageous place to be , rather than to throw stones from either extreme side of the road . It takes courage to speak calmly , listen carefully , and make decisions that serve the community , county , state , and country . Let ’ s all meet in the middle , and get some much-needed work done with courageous leadership ! And , most importantly , let ’ s hold our elected and appointed officials accountable .
The future is bright , and it ’ s ours to make of it what we will . We should always remember that .
For gmhTODAY , our future includes some very cool developments we will be rolling out soon . These developments will help us to serve our communities and nonprofit partners , our small businesses , and of course , you , our readers better and hopefully make your lives easier . More info to follow in our Winter issue !
Here ’ s to the end of 2022 and the beginning of a prosperous 2023 ! May your future be warm and full of health , happiness , and joy .
We wish you the best in life , health , business , and family . Always .
