One Giving Tree

Making the Holidays Brighter

by Mark Vivian

One Giving Tree held their annual fund raiser “ One Bright Night ” on Sept 9th . This was my first experience attending the event and I am so thrilled I did . The room at Old City Hall was lightly attended compared to past events due to Covid guidelines . Nevertheless , the giving and generosity was heavy !

On stage was Whitney Pintello , emceeing the event with alacrity . Guests were checking out the wonderful raffle items , enjoying beverages , and small , delicious bites . And of course , gracious hosts and leaders of One Giving Tree , Mike and Debbi Sanchez and their tireless board , are having conversations with guests and thanking everyone for their presence .
One Giving Tree started with ten trees that needed to find a home in 2014 . Fast forward to 2021 , the goal is to deliver over 300 trees to young and old who otherwise may go without a tree this holiday season .
Attending this fund-raising event was a perfect way to start feeling the holiday spirit . Thank you One Giving Tree for all that you do . Your efforts , thoughtfulness , and care have a positive ripple effect throughout the South County . I can only imagine all the smiles you bring to families and seniors alike when they gaze upon their trees .
