It’s provided him with the kind of knowledge base and perspective clients look for when navigating the complexities of personal wealth management in uncertain markets. During college he studied to be an accountant and paid his way through school by selling real estate. As a graduate, he began questioning his career choice and found his internship with a Big 8 accounting fi rm uninspiring. Mark worked at IBM for fi ve years as an accountant/analyst before becoming a fi nancial advisor with Merrill Lynch. Then things began to fall in place. A year later he was recruited by Edward Jones, where he spent the next 18 years of his career as a fi nancial advisor as well as an investment committee member, fi eld trainer and mentor. In 2018, he launched his own fi rm, Vivian Investment Partners, joined 32 by his wife and business partner, Annette. As a Certifi ed Financial Planner TM and an Accredited Asset Management Specialist, Mark provides clients with comprehensive wealth planning through the use of equities, fi xed income securities, managed money, and other services, through Raymond James. His long history of community service includes: current board member of the Gilroy Chamber of Commerce, current member and past President of the Hollister Rotary Club, and former member and Board President of the San Benito Chamber of Commerce. Mark is a graduate of San Jose State University, where he earned a BS degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Accounting. He and Annette live in Gilroy and have two college-age children, Cory and Carly. Along with winetasting, Mark enjoys traveling, car shows and fi shing.
