Giffin is happy to report that the
training paid off.
“There were ten people in our little
hiking group,” Giffin said.
“I was the oldest one and I did
great. I was singing his praises the
whole time.”
Shelley Kovacs, co-owner of Gilroy
Health and Wellness Center, came to
Ploke in 2013 after finding out she
needed hip replacement surgery.
“I knew that I had to get back to the
gym and be in top shape before going
into this thing,” Kovacs said.
“I came through that with just flying
colors because of how we handled that.
I was back on the golf course in two
months.”
Kovacs believes Ploke’s background
and education adds another level to his
training.
“He’s far, far, NOT a cookie cutter
type of person,” Kovacs said.
“He personalizes his training
schedules to his clients.”
For Ploke, no matter the title; coach,
sensei, or teacher, each profession
garners great rewards.
“The rewards are the joy you see
when a client cries because they’re off
their diabetes medication,” Ploke said
smiling.
“Or you see a client able to pick
up their grandkids when they weren’t
able to before. Simple things like that.
