MUSIC AS A LANGUAGE ROCK FOR A REASON Left: Majhon Phillips, Founder of Music as a Language On August 18th, Music as Language hosted its 4th Annual Rock for a Reason Benefit Concert at Miramar Vineyards in San Martin. Music as Language students teamed up with professional set musicians to perform songs from The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Duran Duran, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran and other artists. A portion of event proceeds will benefit The Sue’s Story Project, which advances the mission of Sue Berghoff, a Morgan Hill resident. After she was diagnosed with a fatal brain disorder known as Lewy Body Dementia (LBD), Sue and her husband Chuck Berg- hoff began a mission to increase awareness and funding for research to find a cure for LBD. During the free concert, Sue Berghoff came onstage to sing “Let it Be” with some of the evening’s performers. Event sponsors included Anaerobe Systems, Anritsu, Express Concrete, LizardLip Productions, Modern Woodmen, Morgan Hill Community Foundation and other organizations, and Music as Language student families.
