With Friends" profile as Morgan Hill
residents, we wanted of make the best
of the situation, so we invited them to
share what we had.
We started with a bottle of Sarah’s
Reserve Pinot Noir and a bottle of Estate
Chardonnay. We next offered up a platter
of West Side Grill’s Tempura Green Beans
with Saffron Aioli and Crispi Calamari
with Cocktail Sauce. Both are great meal
starters!
We followed the appetizers with a
salad medley. A Chop Chop (Crispy
romaine, garbanzo beans, roasted turkey,
Entertainment
red onions, avocado, fresh tomato,
bacon, Gorgonzola cheese, housemade
creamy balsamic dressing) from Café 152
Bread Company and Caprese (Mozzarella
cheese, fresh tomato, basil, olive oil, salt
and pepper) from Sweet Sicily.
While we longed for the hamburgers
from the broken-down food truck, we
had to admit that we were pretty full.
But we still had more. While at Sweet
Sicily we had picked up a couple of
desserts. I missed the names on them.
Suffice it to say, they were delicious
and consumed totally.
Hats off to Sarah’s, they kept us
informed on the status of the food truck
and when it was clear the truck was not
going to make it, they ordered delivery
pizza for everyone! We also have to
thank the staff for setting up a table for
us and keeping our desserts cold. And
a shout out to Jim Ashley who provided
us with some great background music
all evening long.
Although the evening did not go as
planned, we did manage to make the
best of a “what can go wrong will go
wrong” evening.
