GUGLIELMO WINERY ALFIO IN THE VINEYARDS On a calm Sunday evening in September, Alfio visited Guglielmo Winery and entertained an audience of over 200. The program consisted of wine, of course, and light fare by Aldo’s Ristorante & Bar which was excellent and just right for an evening of music. Alfio is a solo singer, songwriter and entertainer. He has sold-out concerts all over world, an Emmy-Nominated PBS concert special, and live shows celebrating the music of Elvis, Sinatra and Bocelli, and was the first Australian to sing the National Anthem in Madison Square Garden. He was born in Australia of Italian immigrants. He studied classical music in Italy and currently lives in New York. His accents reflects a mixture of Aussie, Brooklyn and straight-up Italian. His music is eclectic and entertaining…some classical Italian, some popular Italian, some borrowed from Caruso, Pavarotti and Bocelli, some country, some Beatles, some in Span- ish, some Sinatra, some Tom Jones, some Michael Bublé and some original compositions. He had a five-piece band behind him and while they took a break he played the piano and sang some original works. Gene Guglielmo hopes to make the evening a yearly event. DREAMPOWER HORSEMANSHIP WINE DINE & EQUINE An enthusiastic sell-out crowd of 175 dined, donated and danced the night away at DreamPower Horsemanship’s Wine Dine & Equine 2017. The successful fundraising event was held at the San Jose Police Officers Association Hall and raised $35,000 to support the therapeutic horsemanship programs of DreamPower. Highlights of the evening included a spirited Live Auction, heartfelt videos sharing the stories of DreamPower participants, gorgeous one-of-a-kind table centerpieces filled with succulents that were raffled off,  and amazing horse-themed cookies from 831 Bake Shop.  Many thanks to all who attended and made this event so fun and successful!
