Photography Publishers Larry & J. Chris Mickartz Proud Supporters Of: Community Solutions “ The Only Thing That Is Constant Is Change ” H Heraclitus gmh ere at TODAY , we embrace change. I think if we didn’t, we would be in trouble. And although, some changes are easier than others, it seems that with each change, comes a new adventure, relationship or interesting turn that we otherwise might not have had. Of course, change is just the icing on the cake. The cake being our constants — a great support staff , a consistent group of contributors and columnists, advertisers that value their placement in our pages and the amazing people and places in South Santa Clara Valley that provide us with our content. We will be bidding a fond farewell to Edgar Zaldana who has been our Distribution Manager for the past four and a half years. He leaves us to devote his time to his full-time management job at Westside Grill. He will be missed but we know where to find him. Tamera Long, our new manager, will be taking the magazine around to our 200+ locations starting with this issue. Welcome Tamera! We also want to welcome Carly Gelsinger, Carly Gelsinger Creative Services. Carly will be working with us on all things social media. She will be posting to our web- site blog, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram as well as helping us with features. We are excited to have her join the TODAY team and look forward to her interactions with all of you online. Carly Gelsinger A couple of other changes—our columnist, Sam Bozzo, gmh concluded his series on “Life in Gilroy,” and will be writ- ing a series on “Cooking for Fun” starting with this issue and the Gilroy Garlic Festival’s Charity Cook-off. Be sure to check in with him as he covers some inter- esting cooking traditions in the next few issues. Sherry Hemingway’s “Book Club Beat” has run it’s course with over 14 book clubs highlighted over the past three years. We are hoping to find someone who would like to write book reviews for future issues so stay tuned to see what we come up with. Sherry said we might be able to talk her into doing a feature story for us in the future so we’ll look forward to seeing her words in TODAY in the near future. Last but not least on my list of changes — Connie Blackwell has joined our team to help with some administrative tasks as well as our ever growing sponsorships. TODAY actively supports organizations that make our region a better place to live and work. Sponsorship proposals and requests may be sent to Connie at [email protected]. Welcome Connie! Enjoy! gmh gmh GILROY • MORGAN HILL • SAN MARTIN SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER 2017 gmhtoday.com 9
