Checklist and Timeline
Step 1: Make your deposit *
All we need to confirm your spot in the incoming class is your tuition deposit. A $125 tuition
deposit is preferred by May 1. If you are accepted after May 1, please make your deposit within
three weeks of your acceptance or as soon as possible.
If you want to secure your spot in the Residence Halls, you will need to submit an additional
$250 housing deposit. You can learn more about living on campus on page 5.
You can make your deposit at Accepted Student Day or online through our CashNet payment system.
To make an online tuition or housing deposit, please use the personalized link that was sent to
you via email from GMercyU's Admissions Office. If you can't find the link, just let us know and
we will resend it to you!
Step 2: Confirm financial aid
Financial Aid: If you haven't completed your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
yet, you should do so as quickly as possible. You also will need to sign your financial aid award
letter prior to the date your tuition is due. Learn more about the financial aid and billing process
on page 7.
Step 3: Confirm your health information and emergency contact *^
All new and transfer students must complete the appropriate health form and receive certain
required immunizations before moving in or starting classes. All students must also have health
insurance coverage, whether it is provided by the University or you have your own coverage.
All students also must provide Emergency Contact information. Learn more about Emergency
Contact information on page 14, and Health Information on page 16.
Step 4: Housing
As we cannot guarantee on-campus housing, the earlier you send in your application and deposit,
the more likely you'll not only get a spot, but that we’ll be able to meet your preferences. You can
learn more about Living on Campus on page 5.
Step 5: Get ready for life on campus
Be ready to go on the first day of classes by doing the following:
• Visit campus and explore your future home
• Register for classes (page 12) ^
• Get your parking pass and student ID at the Campbell Solution Center (page 13) ^
• Take your math and English placement assessments (page 17)
• Contact Student Accessibility Services if you think you will need learning or housing
accommodations once you arrive on campus (page 20) ^
*You have the option of completing this step at Accepted Student Day.
^You can complete this step at a Griffin K.E.Y.S. event.
