The North West and Irish Region was invited
to attend the Midland and East Coast Region’s
first women’s conference, which was recently
held in Nottingham.
The conference was opened by Regional
Secretary Andy Worth and the two-day event
saw talks on union structure and function; the
menopause and work; domestic violence; and
women in GMB history.
Our delegation enjoyed the conference and
meeting colleagues from the Midlands – we’d
like to wish them success for future events.
We have lots of fantastic Pride events
planned across the Region this summer and
GMB is able to have a presence at most of
them thanks to branches who make donations
or spare their time to help out on a stall.
If you want to donate to Pride 2016, please
make cheques payable to GMB and send to
Regional Office GMB, Columbus Quay,
Riverside Drive, Liverpool L3 4GB, for the
attention of Lisa Ryan / Pride 2016.
If you would like to volunteer, please contact
firstname.lastname@example.org or ring David Hope
on 07879 295209.
Get in touch if you
would like to get involved.
The Regional Equality Forum is pleased to
announce that we’ve raised almost £10,000 for
Breast Cancer Care by holding Strawberry Tea
events or by directly donating. All money
raised helps support families and sufferers.
Please help us to raise even more money for
Breast Cancer Care by holding a Strawberry
Tea event yourself. Alternatively, you can make
a direct donation from your branch.
Cheques should be made payable to GMB
and sent to Regional Office GMB, Columbus
Quay, Riverside Drive, Liverpool L3 4GB, for the
attention of Lisa Ryan / Strawberry Tea 2016.
