The main part of his focus is to identify efficiencies in the GMA structure, both at National and State levels. Jim and the National Board have achieved more progress in developing a new structure that appears to be the start of a great model. I will provide a further update in the coming months. ONE GOLF As you are aware, information sessions were conducted during the week of 5 to 11 March 2018 regarding the proposed One Golf model. The presentation shown at the meetings is now available and can be accessed by clicking here. Please log any queries, concerns or feedback by 11 May 2018 with Stephen Pitt at [email protected] or Gerard Kennedy at [email protected] NEXT GMAQ EVENT The next GMAQ event is scheduled to be held at the Redcliffe Golf Club hosted by Kerry Newsome on 16 April. One of the features of this event will be a presentation by Sean Kennedy (McLeod Golf Club) who has recently returned from the CMAA World Conference in San Francisco. Sean has returned full of information and ideas which he is bursting at the seams to share with GMAQ members. I look forward to seeing you all there! Additionally, David Marr (Twin Waters) will be presenting on his experience of his Interstate Bursary last year at the weekend away. This will be a great opportunity to hear how two of NSW premier clubs do business. Just a reminder that the GMAQ bursaries (being the CMAA World Conference attendance and the Interstate Bursary) is underpinned by attendance to GMAQ events during the year. The CMAA bursary requires 80 attendance points and the Interstate Bursary requires 60 attendance points. For the full eligibility requirements, please contact me at [email protected].
