Golf Managers Association of New Zealand (GMANZ) Conference Information
GMANZ have now launched details
for their up-coming Conference
which will be held at Russley Golf
Club, Christchurch from 26th to 28th
August, 2012.
GMA members will qualify for the
member registration rate under an
agreement GMA has in place with
GMANZ.
This year, organisers have mobilised
a diverse array of top-class speakers
from the US, Australia and New
Zealand.
“We have some good keynote
speakers,” Rod Latham, event
organiser said. “From the US we have
Norm Spitzig, a Master Club Adviser,
and Mike Leemhuis, who is the Chief
Executive Officer at the Congressional
Country Club.” Both men will speak

on a different topic each day.
From Australia comes Mike Orloff, a
well-known golf industry figure who
has an extensive background in golf
operations and management in the
US and Australia.
His address on membership is timely
considering there has been a five per
cent drop-off in membership across
the board in the past few years in NZ.
The golf operations specialist is
calling his topic “From the Cradle to
