Declining membership numbers and revenue due to tough
economic conditions and sustained periods of rain are a
constant topic of conversation in golf industry circles, yet
despite this some club managers in Queensland are reporting increasing membership numbers, golf rounds and
revenue. These successful clubs both large and small all have
a number of things in common- strong leadership, effective
management strategies and a willingness to review how well
their current club operations meets the expectations of their
members and guests in today’s market. These clubs revised
their strategic plans after collecting and analysing data and
have put strategies and plans into place to improve, enhance
and expand their clubs products and services.
