Chinchillas
An Endangered Species
Chinchillas are nocturnal
creatures and they are very
sensitive to heat. They’re most
comfortable in temperatures
between 60-70 degrees. They
cannot get wet because their
fur is so dense and will not
fully dry so they take dust
baths to help get rid of dirt and
oils. They have the softest fur
of all mammals. They are
natural acrobats, using their
tail for balance. Chinchillas
are very compassionate
animals but require the right
atmosphere to stay happy and
stress-free. Chinchillas can
make wonderful pets to the
right family.
