WBAL GLO ANUAL M Starving Artists The industry doesn’t seem to take the time to find out what is happening on the outside, someone should take the initiative to do so. Local artists/athletes have been generally pushed aside and over-looked. The industry has stolen music from starving artists leaving them uncredited. Athletes with great talent aren’t being discovered because of the ties and money thrown into sports these days. These are just a few examples of how the poli- tics of this industry are holding talent back. Something must be done before this talent is further lost and under appreciated. Music opens doors to other fields and job opportunities for growing incomes and success but the tremendous benefits of it are often hidden. The solution to this is simply knowledge. When more people learn the routes and trials it takes to benefit off of the industry, the world will be a more self-sufficient place.
