ife started growing up in the
modest town of Paisley with my
Mum, Liz and Brother John with
my Gran (Betty) and Granpa (John)
just a hop, skip and a jump away.
For those of you not familiar with
Paisley – I will enlighten you. Paisley is
a fairly large town just outside Glasgow
with a population of over 74,000. Back
in the day, it was well known for its
textiles and weaving industries and
our famous Paisley Pattern, which
is prominent all over the place - and
you will most probably own a Paisley
Pattern tie, scarf, blouse, shirt and even
the odd pair of trousers! Some famous
names who grew up there include
David Tennant, Paolo Nutini and my
fave – Gerard Butler along with a few
Scotch whiskey blenders and bottlers –
the perfect place eh?! Sure, apart from
the odd fighting, drinking, drugs and
rock and roll!

a single mother working day and
