You are what you are. The best
structures I’ve seen are a partnership
between both characters. Think
about Warren Buffet and Charlie
Munger, Mark Zuckerberg and Cheryl
Sandberg.
There’s someone to inspire people, rally
the troops and be the spokesperson.
And there’s someone (often behind the
scenes) who the troops can rely on to
make sure everything’s running as it
should.
So, drum roll please….
There will be five generations in the
workforce by 2020.

Labels and tribes can be used as a
guide, but if you want to get a team
firing on all cylinders ask them what
they want. Not as a group, or as a
generation, or as a ‘type’, but as a
person.
