This cross-generational blend of leadership values and characteristics describes the strength that has always been there in people who have done great things. People like Indira Gandhi (India), Corazon Aquino (Philippines), John and Robert Kennedy (United States) to name but a few who led nations through traumatic times to reset a course to relative peace and prosperity. Angela Merkel likewise today is steadfastly driving Germany and Europe forward. 22 coalitions needed for collaboration and success that enabled their leadership to transcend generations. Look hard into your own organisations to find people carrying these same attributes. These are your leaders now. The challenge in today’s fast and flat world is to foster these attributes and maintain the environment that allows them to grow.
