TYPES OF RETAILERS

PUBLIC PLACE - Shops located in public places, such as parks, train stations, museums.

SHOPPING CENTRE - This is where you can find many different stores in one location such as Westfield London. It is a common place to go for a day out trip as they usually have 100's of stores under the same roof.

CONCESSION - This is a store within a larger store, for example Givenchy in Selfirdges

DEPERTMENT STORE - This is a large store, various departments under one roof, 4 or more classes of consumer goods, often in a shopping center eg. John Lewis, Liberty, Harrods

INTERNET - Internet stores usually focus on online trade only. They package an send goods to their customers. Internet stores usually have good communication through social media as this one of the only ways they can communicate with their customers. Examples are BooHoo & Asos.

MULTIPLE - A multiple store are stores that have 10 or more stores. Multiple stores are very common, a lot of the most well-known stores are mutiple. These are stores like Topshop, Zara and H&M

SPECIALIST STORE - A specialist store is one that usually sells on one type of good. These stores usually have a small surface area as there isn't a lot of goods for them to have out. These are stores like Pandora and Footlock
