About The Artist
Ana Elizabeth Cintron Diaz was born November 9, 1950 in
Caguas, Puerto Rico. She earned a BFA in ceramics from the
University of Puerto Rico and both taught elementary and
middle school art classes as well as participating in art fairs
across the island. She relocated to Orlando, Florida in 1987,
but after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992, she
returned to Puerto Rico the next year following a
mastectomy and chemotherapy.
