In fact, Iran signed the Nuclear NonProliferation Treaty (NPT) on July 1 in 1968. Iranian Parliament ratified the treaty in February, 1970. Iran is the country that has gone beyond its obligations to ensure others of its peaceful intentions, which reflects it‘s signing of an additional Protocol to its safeguard agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency of the United Nations in 1974, a watch dog of nuclear weapons.
