Begin your run up preparation
Experiment with different run ups and approaches but maintain rythym and stability. Don't walk or sprint into the ball.
3
Keep your chest and body in line, extend arm for balance
This is a big one for me. Try to keep your head and chest square and in line with the ball. This eliminates distorting your body, turning your shoulders and subsequently shanking
the ball around the corner or pushing it off to the other side. Remain in line.
4
Plant heel beside the ball
There's nothing more important than a stable and stong base when attempting to make contact with the ball. Plant your heel close to the ball pointing your tose directly at the posts. Remember to keep your body in line.
5
Bring kicking foot through the ball and make contact with the strongest part of the foot
There's a knuckle on your foot just behing the big toe, strike tha ball with this area of the foot. It will allow for a strong connection and accurate strike.

Keep your head still and follow through
In all instances when kicking a rugby ball, keep your head still and follow through. This completes the movement and ensures everything remains in tact.
