The Treaty of Versailles was signed in 1919 and signified the end of WWI. It was written by the allied powers, which consisted of France, England, and the U.S. Germany was excluded from the writing of the Treaty. Each of the individual parties had their own views and desires that they wanted for Germany. The European allies wanted revenge and wanted the Germans to pay while the U.S. wanted Germany to be accepted and brought back to the European Union. peacefully.

The League of Nations was founded in 1920 after WWI by Woodrow Wilson in hopes of preventing another costly world war. Wilson wanted a strong super power compromised of all Europe, but the U.S, congress would refuse to take any part in the League. Due to the lack of U.S involvement in European conflicts and events, the League would inevitably fail in preventing the second World War.

THE LEAGUE OF NATIONS
